Since 1999, flood water on the upper Altmühl has been diverted into the Altmühlsee, from the place it flows through a tunnel into the Brombachsee, which is already deeper on the opposite aspect of the watershed. Since 2009, the trimaran has been outfitted with a 13.2 meter high, glass panoramic elevator at the rear. Leisure activities include water sports activities together with swimming, crusing, windsurfing, kitesurfing and tours with the trimaran MS Brombachsee. Great Brombachsee, Igelsbachsee and Kleiner Brombachsee have been circled. The marathon route takes two laps across the Großer Brombachsee, the half marathon route takes one lap. The Brombachsee is a 3-hull ship (trimaran) on the Großer Brombachsee, the main lake of the Franconian Lake District in Middle Franconia (Bavaria). ↑ Glass elevator on the trimaran. A marathon on the Brombachsee was first held in 2003 as the "Brombachsee Marathon" and came about yearly in September. Along with its function as a big bird habitat for nicely over a hundred species. The Grafenmühle is a nature reserve on the Großer Brombachsee inside the Middle Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen.
